King of the Streets, Olamide and Mavin Boss, Don Jazzy got into a row on Friday night at the Headies 2015 Awards.

Reekado Banks won the Next Rated Category beating out Lil Kesh, Kiss Daniel and others. Olamide in an attempt to express his disappointment got on stage to deliver an expletive speech about how Lil Kesh should have bagged the award.

Don Jazzy later came out on stage to defend Reekado Banks, saying that Olamide can come and take the car that Reekado won. (WATCH VIDEO HERE)

Olamide who has never denied that he is of the streets went streetwise on stage and Don Jazzy being the boss himself acted like a boss on stage.

Many people are speculating that the beef won’t go away soon and truth is it might not.

Here are three reasons why:

The Streets Always Wins

Born and bred in Bariga, Olamide is of the streets, that’s why he could fling the mic and his cap on stage. When you are of the streets, your first instinct is to express your displeasure to create the maximum effect.

That is why streets fights are always bloody. The first tactic is call off your opponents bluff by making a greater bluff.

Don Jazzy Took it Personal

Olamide didn’t mention anyone, he only said ‘Iya Laya Anybody’, the voters choose Reekado Banks and Olamide simply attempted to remind everyone about Lil Kesh’s great music. Don Jazzy went on stage and he directly insulted Olamide, that’s where we draw the line.

Mavin Boss, YBNL Boss, Olamide and Don Jazzy both bear the name boss, they both have cub artists to protect and they both do their own protecting in different ways. Don Jazzy shouldn’t have taken it personal.

Publicity Stunt

At the end of the day, we will hear Olamide and Don Jazzy feature in Reekado Banks ‘I Will Always Protect You’ Hit Single, that’s the way our entertainment industry works. Almost everything is a publicity stunt.

Our entertainers understand the food of Nigerians and they are ever willing to feed us, a thousand blog posts, twitter searches, google searches will birth from this.

Next year, people will stay glued to 2016 Headies to ensure they don’t miss another debacle.

Na so.
