Being a celebrity just makes people believe you never had to struggle for anything and everything was handed to you on a platter of gold.

Highly successful now, Dem Mama Records boss, Timaya, was once a plantain seller before hitting stardom.
Timaya constantly makes reference to his days as a plantain seller in songs like ‘Plantain Boy’.
He began his musical career in 2005 and has released hit songs such as ‘Bum Bum’ and ‘Sanko’.
