Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala has completed her move to Arsenal Ladies from rivals, Liverpool Ladies.
Oshoala became the first player from Africa to play in the Women’s Super League when she joined Liverpool in January 2015.
Liverpool Ladies were forced to sell Oshoala to their rivals, Arsenal after they activated her release clause.
Oshoala joined Liverpool Ladies in January 2015, after her superb performance in the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
She missed two months of the 2015 season with a knee injury, as defending champions Liverpool finished seventh in the female League.
She however managed to score three goals in 12 league appearances for Liverpool.
Speaking on the signing, Arsenal Ladies manager, Pedro Losa described the 22-year-old as a fantastic talent who will be a great addition to the squad.
“She is quick, with excellent feet and has proven she can score goals so it’s very positive she has decided to join us,” Losa said.
