In new interview with HFtv, singer Sean Tizzle finally addressed some of the controversies he has recently been embroiled in, his career and new projects.
Some of the issues he touched on include his former boss, Sound Sultan’s claim that he wrote the singer’s smash hit song, ‘Sho Lee’, a claim that CEO of Naija Ninjas made in 2013. Sean Tizzle whose real name is Morihanfen Oluwaseun Oluwabamidele had never addressed that story, until yesterday.
“I write my stuff,” Tizzle said, and explained that Sound Sultan made that claim because of a long-running ‘issue’ they had going on. “Some part of the song was recorded when I was with him, and when I left, I decided to finish it and drop it as a single. So he came back [and said] he wrote the song.”
On the criticisms he received following his November 2015 tweet, where he said that Omawumi’s cover to Adele’s “Hello” was better than the British singer’s version, Sean Tizzle refuses to apologise for it. “It’s my own opinion which I have a right to,” he said, adding that people can say whatever they want to.
On if he will be returning to Twitter ever again, the singer affirmed that he would, adding that the platform is his ‘home’, and he only left to get work done.
And on the constant accusation that he bleaches, the ‘Abiamo’ singer tried to laugh it off, but finally dismissed the criticism. “I don’t know about all that,” he said, adding that “people could still talk. I am just focused on dropping more cool sounds. I think that’s what matters. I have my album coming out in September.”
