The Democratic Peoples Congress (DPC) have elected Nigerian actor cum Politician, Yul Edochie as candidate of the party for the November 18 governorship election in Anambra State.
The 35-year-old movie star was elected by a 140-man delegate of the party through voice votes conducted by officials of the party and monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Edochie who took to Instagram to share the News and thanked God as well as the people who voted for him, shared pictures of the Election.
He wrote:
And I won the party primaries today to become the flag bearer of the DPC. DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE’S CONGRESS.
I give God almighty all the glory.
I thank everyone who made it possible. And to all who have placed their hopes and trust in me, I will not let you down.
Its time for the youths, time for the masses.
We are taking the Government house of Anambra State come November 2017.
We will run a Government that will put the welfare of the masses first.
Our Victory is the people’s Victory.
