Linda Ikeji, who is currently in the United States to birth her baby is set to receive an honorary doctorate degree from Georgia University.
The celebrity blogger will be receiving an honorary degree from Trinity International University of Georgia, for her contribution to media in Africa.
Linda Ikeji shared the news on Instagram.
She wrote:
“I told you guys a few months ago to call me Princess Linda after the Arewa Youths title, but after August 8th, you will have to upgrade that to Dr. Linda Ikeji…. I’m getting a honorary doctorate degree from Trinity International University of Georgia for my contribution to media in Africa and as Africa’s Most Successful Blogger. . Really grateful to God for how far He’s brought me! And thank you for your congratulations. Love to you and yours..”
Few months ago, she was conferred with title of Gimbiyan Matasan Arewa which means Princess of Arewa Youths by the Northern Youths Initiative for Peace and Good Governance. According to the blogger, they came all the way from the Northern part of the country to her Lekki office in Lagos to honour her.
In a blog post, Linda Ikeji wrote;
The award was in recognition of my immense contribution towards nation building, human development and youth empowerment. I’ve gotten so many awards but this one in particular was very special.
I got an award for excellence as an Icon of societal transformation and then confirmation as the Gimbiyan Matasan Arewa which means Princess of Arewa Youths. Aka, Princess Linda. Lol.
