The vice presidential debate ahead of 2019 elections held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel a few days ago.
It was transmitted live on all BON member stations and its affiliates and streamed live on all social media platforms. Political parties that took part in the debate are the Allied Congress Party Of Nigeria (ACPN), the Alliance For New Nigeria (ANN), All Progressives Congress (APC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and The Young Progressive Party (YPP).
However more of the emphasis was on the PDP Vice presidential candidate, Peter Obi and APC Vice Presidential candidate, Yemi Osinbajo. One of the major highlights was when Peter Obi said; “you can’t leave your shop and be chasing criminals | Osinbajo: If you allow criminals to steal everything, there will be no shop” And Yemi Osinbajo clapped back “If you allow the criminals to steal all the inventory, there will be no shop to run.”
