Bisi Alimi has reacted to a hate post, which wished he and his husband were among the 157 Ethiopian Airlines Plane crash victims of Sunday.
The gay rights activist and his husband Anthony Davis who are currently on their honeymoon, traveled same weekend the incident occurred. However a Facebook user who reacted to their vacation, wrote on their platform;
“There was a plane crash yesterday. Where were they?”
Bisi Alimi who reacted to hate post which wished he and his husband were among the Ethiopian Airlines Plane crash victims, took a quote from MLK which said ‘Hate is too much a burden to bear’. He added that it is not so much that someone wishes another death because they love differently from them, but it is about using their hate to mock the dead.
He wrote;
“Hate is too much a burden to bear”- MLK. It is not so much that someone wishes another death because they love differently from them, but it is about using their hate to mock the dead. Just while the families of the dead are mourning, this man uses the situation to wish us dead. I repeat; hate is too much a burden to bear.”
