The moment some defaulters who were caught outside past the curfew and were whipped by Cross River State’s COVID-19 taskforce team was caught on camera.
The task force enforced to ensure that people adhere to the curfew went around with their vans and once they spotted people outside, they approached them and flogged them to chase them back into their houses.
The curfew in Cross River State is only a part of the action by the state to fight COVID-19. Cross River is yet to record any case of the deadly Coronavirus and actions are being taken to keep it that way.
About two days ago, it was reported that five trucks loaded with Almajiris coming from the north were discovered at the Cross River State border and the trucks were sent back.
