Policemen in Abuja have allegedly sprayed tear gas and fired gunshots at the youths protesting and advocating for an end to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit of the Nigerian Police Force.
The youths converged at the Millenium Park in Abuja around 10am on Friday, October 9 to commence their peaceful protest.
The protestors were chanting #EndSARS and other solidarity songs while holding placards and marching round the city.
According to our source, on walking down to the police headquarters in Abuja, the police officials started shooting and spraying tear gas at the unharmed protesters.
In the video, they could be seen scampering to safety.
