The Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, has paid a condolence visit to wife of Flight Sergeant Olasunkanmi Olawunmi who died in the Air Force plane crash on Sunday, February 21.
The governor on Tuesday morning, February 23rd, visited the wife of the deceased personnel, Omolola Olawunmi in her home.
Recall the late Olawuni died alongside six others in the plane crash which occurred in Abuja on Sunday.
The aircraft was identified as a Military plane and it crashed near Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, amidst reports that there were no survivors.
Aviation minister, Hadi Sirika confirmed the development in a short statement on Twitter Sunday afternoon.
Her tweet reads,
“A military aircraft King Air 350 has just crashed short of our Abuja runway after reporting engine failure enroute Minna. It appears to be fatal. We should remain calm & wait for the outcome of investigation by the military, while we pray for the departed soul/souls if any.”
