16-year-old popular US model, Kara Wrice has reportedly drowned in a river in Missouri after drinking with her friends.
It was gathered that the teenager from Missouri was planning to move to New York City to continue her budding modeling career before she met her death.
According to reports, Kara died on Friday in the Meramec River in Castlewood State Park.
Kara who wasn’t wearing a life vest when she joined other adults and a friend in the raging water already had a lot to drink with her friend at the park before she drowned.
The bereaved father described his late daughter as a very intelligent student while speaking with St Louis Post Dispatch.
“She was a straight-A student, she was also a teenager who made a very not-good decision,” her father told St Louis Post Dispatch.
The ‘incident’ led to the park being closed to the public as rescuers searched for Kara, whose body was recovered later Friday.
The deceased a standout junior at Webster Groves High School, had worked as a model for two years, appearing in ads for Famous Footwear.
