Friend to Oye Kyme, former assistant of Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky, has come out to debunk reports of the Ivorian socialite’s death.
This comes after she shared a suggestive post on her Instagram page which raised speculations that Oye had passed on.
In the now-deleted post, she shared a photo of herself posing with Oye and wrote, “Oye,You can’t do this to me!!!
Just wake up and tell me you’re fine my one and only best friend 💔💔life is unfair @oye.kyme 😭
She also edited the caption and replaced “life is unfair” with “you will survive” before deleting the post.
Netizens believed that Oye had died because few days ago, she took to her Instagram page to reveal that she tested positive for coronavirus and would be taking time off social media to recuperate from the illness.
She wrote,
“Good afternoon guys.
Unfortunately I’ve tested positive for the coronavirus. Yesterday after taking the vaccine I fell severely ill and the following morning I was rushed to hospital where they broke the news that I was infected with the virus. I’m completely heartbroken and my whole family and I are shocked and disgusted.
It’s essential for me to take care of myself and rid myself from the virus so, I’m coming off social media for a while. I don’t know how long but I need to be away for my health.

Her friend identified as @modellablessing on Instagram, has now made a U-turn on her earlier statement as she claims she never insinuated that Oye is dead.
She further alleged that the Ivorian influencer is in coma, not dead.
