Popular Kenyan gospel singer, Stephen Kasolo, has tendered a public apology after a video of him threatening to kill his 3-year-old daughter, Shine, went viral and sparked outrage.
In the video, which was shared on social media by the singer’s wife, he threatened to end his child’s life by strangling, for allegedly breaking his “expensive” water bottle. He was also heard asking the young girl who was crying to apologize to him and his fans.
The video sparked outrage from netizens who dragged him into filth. However, in response to the backlash, Kasolo has now apologized and admitted that his post brought a lot of tension on social media.
Sharing a photo of himself carrying his daughter, he wrote,
“Praise God my fans? I want to take this opportunity to apologise to my baby @shinekasolo and all our fans for the video which is going viral, I never meant any harm to my daughter and I never will, nevertheless it has brought alot of tension on social media. Kindly forgive me this will never happen again am sorry even before God”.
