A Nigerian freelance journalist, Taiwo Alabi, has sparked debate on Twitter after he stated that fast-rising Nigerian singer, Portable, needs rehab.
In a tweet that has stirred mixed reactions from fans of the Zazu Zeh star, Alabi noted that the singer should be in rehab and not performing at shows.
Alabi further stated that drugs have ruined Portable, so he’s damaged and needs help.
“They gave Portable money and fame but ignored the fact that the dude is damaged and needs help, Drugs has ruined the guy, he needs to be in rehab not perfiming a shows”. Taiwo Alabi tweeted.

Reacting to the journalist’s tweet, another Twitter user @Caaasp1 wrote, “When the gangsters in US do the same thing Portable is doing Nigerins hail them and stream more of their songs. But here we are calling Portable uneducated because his life is under threat and he’s speaking out in the best way he can. I pray nothing happen to him sha. Grace”.
