Angry Muslim youths have reportedly stormed a community in Bauchi in search of a lady who has been accused of blasphemy.
It’s alleged that the said lady, a government worker from Gombe but married in Warji, a local government area in Bauchi, shared a video on social media in which a convert spoke about the Prophet of Islam.
After Friday’s Juma’at prayers, Muslim youths went in search of the woman. When they couldn’t find her, they went on a rampage, destroying Christian property in the area.
According to viral reports, the attack has left a number of Christians, including a pastor of an ECWA church, severely injured.

This comes one week after Deborah Samuel, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, was lynched and set ablaze by her colleagues over alleged blasphemy.
It can be recalled that Deborah, a 200-level Christian student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, was beaten to death and burnt by her fellow students on the school premises on Thursday, May 12, over a ‘blasphemous’ voice message she sent to her department’s group chat.
Her remains were laid to rest in her hometown, Tungan Magajiya in Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State.
