A final year student of the University of Port Harcourt, Miss Ubiri Jennifer, has died in a ghastly road accident in Bayelsa state.
Jennifer was among three people burnt to death in the accident which occurred on Monday night, June 21, 2022, at Opokuma junction, along East-West Road.
The deceased, until her death, was the Vice President of the National Union of Urhobo Students Worldwide (NUUS).
The President (Ajuwe) of NUUS Worldwide, Ishokare Ishaku Emuejevoke Justice, confirmed Jennifer’s demise in a statement on Wednesday, June 22.
“It’s a black Wednesday for the National Union of Urhobo Students Worldwide. We just lost our viable Vice President 2 Jennifer Ubiri in a motor fire accident. It’s really hard to say Rest in peace”, he wrote.
Family, friends, and colleagues have trooped to Facebook to pen touching tributes to the late Jennifer.
A Facebook user Ovotu Rufus wrote,
“I lost a Daughter Miss Ubiri Jennifer, Vice President National Union of Urhobo Student World wide, She Had Accident on her ways back to PortHarcout After few hours , i helped her transfer her voters card from Rivers State to Delta State, After all your Efforts at Uniport we couldn’t Congratulate you with your Certificate.We Love You But God Love you most. Rest in Peace Oniemo Nuus”.
Miss Jennifer, am very bemuse when I had about your demise. You left us without holding the certificate. Each time you are around you call me teacher!!!!! Am always excited with your joke by calling me “Teacher”! and kind gesture. Nobody could call me teacher again. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 . I love you but God love you the most. May your Gentle soul rest in perfect peace Amen….!
