Her tweet has sparked different reactions from social media users who accused her of being insensitive by announcing her academic pursuit when the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has been on strike for seven months.
Some others asserted that she doesn’t have the capacity to study architecture because it’s a difficult course.
Social media commentator @danielregha wrote, “Cuppy do u realize that constantly announcing ur academic plans is !nsensitive; Lots of Nigerians are affected by the ongoing ASUU strike & u a!n’t helping matters. Also keep in mind that u are yet to assist students as promised since almost 18 months. U ta!k b!g but do noth!ng.”
A Twitter user identified as @abba-naallah wrote, “Be like say @cuppymusic no know the actual meaning of architecture ooo. You no go fit ooo. On so many nights even with your comfort you’d cry, be discouraged, get really tired and you’d wanna give up.
Good luck though.”
Another Twitter user @local_man5 wrote, “Hmm Omo, do your research properly before diving into architecture o.”
