Nigerian comedian and actor, AY Makun, has reacted to the events that occurred in Lagos during the recently-concluded Presidential and Governorship elections.
It would be recalled that the electoral process in Lagos was plagued with tribal discrimination and bigotry.
Many Igbos and those not planning to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) were not allowed to vote in some polling units in the state.
There was also tribal war between some Yoruba and Igbo folks on social media following the gubernatorial election last Saturday, March 18.
In response to the tribal conflict, AY Comedian asked on Twitter what people in inter-tribal marriages, specifically Yoruba men married to Igbo women, should do about their partners and children.
AY, who is married to a Delta-born woman Mabel, also threw a subtle jab at Nigerian politician, Femi Fani-Kayode, who has been a vocal supporter of the tribal war.
He tweeted,
“Now that d elections are officially ‘over’ in Lagos State, I am sure all these talks about BIGOTS & MAGGOTS will end on d lips of some COCONUT heads like d FOOLISH FEDERAL KOLA-NUT (FFK) seekers, Una for tell us wetin una want we Yoruba boys to do with our Igbo wives & children.
I just weak …..I don’t feel like a Nigerian no more …
D national anthem so heavy for my mouth now”
