The mother of famous Nigerian chef and restauranteur, Hilda Baci, has expressed gratitude to God for making her daughter break a Guinness World Record.
A video making rounds online shows the heartwarming moment the woman, who hails from Akwa-Ibom state, celebrated her daughter’s historic achievement.
This comes after the food blogger smashed the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes set by an Indian chef this morning, May 15.
Her mother, who also owns a restaurant in Abuja, could not contain her joy and excitement at the venue, and thanked God for making her daughter’s dream of breaking the record of the longest cooking time by an individual come true.
She said she had prayed to God who gave her daughter the dream to make it happen on a grand scale, and he made it happen.
According to her, she was a nobody before this remarkable feat, but now she talks to governors and presidents, referring to the recent visit of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as well as a phone call from Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Sunday.
The proud mom also recounted how she struggled to pay her house rent in Abuja, but now she ‘dines with kings and queens’.
