Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, better known as Spyro, has vowed to influence the music industry for God.
The “Who’s your guy” crooner made this declaration in a post on his Instagram stories, emphasizing that he will never use “shake your bum” or any kind of ungodly/dirty lyrics in his songs.
He stated that everyone who works with him is aware of his stance.
Vowing never to compromise his stance, he wrote;
“I am only interested in making evergreen music, and that is exactly what it is. There ain’t no “shake your bum” or any ungodly/dirty lyrics here… We pride ourselves in promoting what’s right, and everyone that works with me already got the memo.
There ain’t no compromise here. It might take me time, but I will influence this industry for God… and someone, please mark my words on that. I am here for a reason. I am God’s ambassador here, and gradually we will take these grounds for Him.”

This comes after Spyro publicly stated his position towards recording a song with Portable.
In a recent interview with Cool FM, Lagos, Spyro strongly asserted that Portable is the one musician he will never collaborate with.
He mentioned their divergent musical tastes as the main deterrent, implying that if he wrote a song for Portable, he wouldn’t be able to play it well.
The show host, Do2tun threw the question at the fast-rising singer, “Who’s that artiste you can’t do music with?”
“Not because I have an issue with him but because our paths just don’t cross. Our kind of music don’t align. He won’t be able to deliver the kind of music I will write for him because it’s not its style,” he said.
When asked if he thinks Portable is a good singer, Spyro stated, “I think Portable is good. It’s intentional when people do the type of music portable does.
