Romanus Ejikeme, the father of Mmesoma, the Anambra pupil accused of forging her 2023 UTME result, has stated that he has left everything to God.
Mmesoma Ejikeme was accused by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) of manually inflating her UTME result.
According to the examination board, Mmesoma scored 249 in the examination, contrary to the 362 she claimed to have obtained.
To support its claim, the board released Mmesoma’s alleged original result on Tuesday, which showed her aggregate as 249, and announced that her result had been withdrawn and she would be banned from taking the examination for the next three years.
Speaking in an interview with Channels TV on Tuesday, July 4, Mmesoma’s father, Romanus, stated that he has entrusted everything to God and will not be seeking any legal recourse.
During the interview with Channels TV, Mr. Ejikeme insisted that the result his daughter was claiming was printed from the JAMB portal. He added that he firmly believes that the board is working against his daughter.
“My daughter did not commit any offense. She is innocent because she has consistently been a top student from secondary school until now. She is very studious and takes her education seriously. Sometimes she studies until daybreak to achieve good results. So she cannot commit such a crime,” he asserted.
Further expressing his stance, Ejikeme, who mentioned that he is a musician and won a competition in 1996 before becoming a motorcycle rider, revealed that he will not pursue any legal action and will leave everything in God’s hands.
“I am not doing anything. I will simply leave everything to God. God knows the truth,“ he said.
