A throwback video of Nigerian superstar singer, Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, speaking about his crush on veteran actress Genevieve Nnaji, has resurfaced and is currently trending online.
In the old interview with OAP Toolz, Wizkid confidently stated that he had a huge crush on Genevieve.
According to him, his interest in her grew from watching her in movies as a young child.
However, he noted that on the day he finally met Genevieve, he was in the company of his older uncles who introduced him as a little boy to the actress. As a result, he had to humble himself and address her as ‘Ma’.
Wizkid added that after that encounter, he let go of his crush on her.
“I really had a crush on Genevieve until I met her”, he said.
When Toolz asked if the crushed died, he responded, “She’s like my aunty, but she was like awwn, I love you though”.
