Popular singer, Iyanya, has shared his thoughts on why most reality TV show winners don’t thrive after winning the competition.
According to Iyanya, the majority of reality TV show winners don’t harbor a genuine desire to achieve fame or recognition.
He noted that their victory often occurs by chance. On the other hand, those contestants who thrive after winning are usually the ones who approached the platform with a clear intention of becoming famous and making a significant impact.
“Obviously, most people who win these reality shows don’t have any plans of being famous or anything. It just happened to them. Yeah, he has a nice voice, tried it and he won.
“So, I believe that the people who go further are the people who prayed for that platform. And they finally got it and they are like, ‘I’m not going back from here.’ That is how I look at it.” He said.
In other news, Nigerian singer, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, has recounted her first encounter with ace music executive, Don Jazzy.
During her appearance on the latest edition of Teen Vogue Magazine, the self-styled “Sabi girl” revealed that she was very shy the first time she met Don Jazzy, but he proved to be very cool.
She went on to describe the Mavin Boss as the coolest person she’s ever met.
“I remember the first time meeting him [Don Jazzy], I was just so shy. I would be in the studio with my brother, and if he leaves the room, we look at each other and scream, ‘Oh, my God!’ But when I met him, he was the coolest person ever. He just wanted to speak to me, to understand where my mind was. He saw that I wanted it so much,” she said.
