Nigerian singer, Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has spoken candidly about her battle with weight loss and acknowledged that it is not simple to follow a diet.
Recall how the plus-size singer’s sharing of some images on social media after losing weight astonished fans last year.
Teni claimed in a video on TikTok that self-discipline is necessary to achieve the desired outcomes since you will forego foods and beverages that are visually enticing.
Her words:
“You won’t eat Jollof rice anymore o! No fried yam and eggs, none of that. You’ll only be eating salad. You’ll eat salad until it grows on your head.
“You will have to do away with your favourite drinks.
“Diet is not your mate; can’t you see me? It’s not your mate.”

In other news, Nigerian content creator, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, better known as Kiekie, has revealed why she turned down a Range Rover Evoque gift from her ex-boyfriend years back.
In a recent interview with media personality Toke Makinwa on her show “Toke Moments”, Kiekie recounted how her ex-boyfriend told her to reveal whatever she wanted for Valentine’s day and she replied that she wanted a Range Rover Evoque.
Interestingly, the man showed up at her shop a few days later with the multi-million naira vehicle to give her. Much to the man’s surprise, Kiekie said she rejected the expensive car.
She went on to cite two reasons why she didn’t accept the Range Rover.
Firstly, collecting the car would mean that she would have to marry the man due to the kind of family she is from.
Secondly, she knew she didn’t want to marry him because he didn’t believe in her business dreams and aspirations.
