Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has criticized Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and the Lagos gubernatorial candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, for their silence regarding the death of singer Mohbad.
Taking to his Instagram page, Reno chastised them for not speaking up while Nigerians both at home and abroad demand justice for the late singer, who died under strange circumstances on Tuesday, September 12.
Reno pointed out that Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is actively working to get justice for Mohbad, while GRV and Obi have remained conspicuously absent.
He added that during the election, both politicians were quick to respond to tragic events but have failed to utilize their platforms to advocate for justice for the deceased 27-year-old singer.
His post reads;
“No matter what you say about Governor Sanwoolu, at least he is working with the Lagos State Police Command to get justice for MohBad. His office and staff are facilitating the investigation. Where is Gbadebo Rhodes Vivor in all of these? If a dog had given birth to puppies during the campaign period, GRV and Peter Obi would have gone there with prominent Obidients to celebrate with the dog. Did they not visit Akere Spare Parts Market and donate money to victims? Did GRV not visit hospitals? Did he not go to churches to shake hands and smile? But now that Mohbad needs them, where are they? Election na your mate?
