The recent kind gesture of popular Nigerian singer, Davido, to controversial social media commentator, VeryDarkMan, has been met with mixed reactions on social media.
Davido made headlines on Thursday after he invited VeryDarkMan on an all-expense paid trip to Lagos, and lodged him in a luxury hotel. They also hung out later that night with celebrity bar man, Cubana Chief Priest.
VeryDarkMan took to his Instagram page to share videos of his exquisite experience with the caption, “OBO and Cubana chief priest say them go use CHOPLIFE finish me today 😂”

This linkup has sparked differing opinions on social media, with many castigating Davido for associating with someone like VeryDarkMan.
Others criticized the singer for evidently knowing VeryDarkMan through all his social media displays, but claiming not to know Big Brother Naija season 7 winner, Phyna.
Recall that the DMW boss recently said that he doesn’t know the reality TV star after she confronted him for liking a post that criticized her.
