An Ivorian man who is married with kids and was captured on camera trying to make advances at a lady, who clearly wasn’t his wife, at one of the ongoing AFCON games has been identified.
The said man has identified online as Anselme Santos and after the video of him getting too close to the lady he was trying to woo emerged online, Santos has now apologised to his wife and kids over the embarrassing development.
In the video, Santos can be seen leaning towards a Senegalese female fan to whisper in her ears. As he leaned close, the woman pulled away slightly from him but this didn’t seem to stop him from trying further.
A couple of netizens are of the opinion that Santos was trying to ask the woman for her number.
Apologising after the video went viral, Anselme wrote in a post on social media,
“I told her ‘give me your number’. But she didn’t want to. So I didn’t insist. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to the lady, my wife, and my children!”
