The main YouTube channel belonging to Prophet TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations has been taken down from the video-sharing platform.
This action comes after OpenDemocracy identified and reported over 50 abusive videos that amplified attacks against the clergyman’s accusers on the platform.
Recall that earlier this month, the BBC World Service, in collaboration with OpenDemocracy, released a three-part documentary featuring whistleblowers who were formerly senior members of SCOAN.
These individuals went on record with allegations of sexual and psychological abuse, financial misconduct, and criminal negligence by the late clergy.
The videos, initially filmed by the church’s Emmanuel TV media department, showcased some of the women who participated in the investigative documentary.
YouTube, which has strict policies against cyberbullying and harassment, particularly towards survivors of sexual violence, stated that “the flagged channel was terminated for violating our hate speech policies.”
This marks the second time that the late Prophet TB Joshua’s church’s YouTube channel has been suspended due to violations of the platform’s policies.
In other news, Nigerian singer and songwriter, Victor AD countered the claim of people labelling late T.B. Joshua, a fake pastor, relating to the trending BBC documentary which disclosed the alleged sexual misconduct committed by the deceased.
Recounting the events in his tweet on X, Victor AD shared his encounter with the pastor on social media. He stated the numerous miracles citing how his family was helped when they were in need. He stated the pastor was used to healed him from a skin disease at age six. Continue reading here
