Nigerian rappers Ice Prince and Skibii have playfully mocked legendary rapper Eedris Abdulkareem over his recent claims about his influence in the music industry.
In a recent interview on the Honest Bunch podcast, Eedris asserted that he paved the way for the rise of global Nigerian superstars Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and other artistes.
Citing his 2005 confrontation with show promoters and his clash with 50 Cent and his crew, the ‘Jaga Jaga’ crooner claimed that his actions started a revolution that made Nigerian artistes respected worldwide, even though it cost him his career.
His words,
“I am the most beautiful sacrifice that gave birth to Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and everybody today. Now they’re flying their own private jet. If you don’t fight for your industry, nobody will fight for you. Unfortunately, most of them didn’t appreciate”.
In a video reaction, Ice Prince and Skibii were captured watching the interview and making sarcastic jokes about Eedris.
They mockingly hailed and appreciated him for his self-proclaimed influence in the industry.
“Thank you, Daddy, we appreciate”, they sarcastically said.
