A Father of three has taken to social media to share his family’s dull birthday celebration.
On the special day of his wife’s birthday, the man found himself unable to provide the kind of meal he had hoped for, leading him to cry out to God for a breakthrough in his financial situation.
The man revealed that instead of a celebratory dish, his wife and three children were forced to eat only garri (eba) and soup for the occasion.
Heartbreakingly, the soup did not even contain any meat, as the family’s financial situation had made that impossible.
“God help me. Today’s my wife’s birthday and she is eating garri instead of fried rice,” the man lamented in his social media post.
The man’s plight has struck a chord with many, as he expressed his wish that he could have treated his family to a more substantial and special meal, such as a plate of rice, to mark the occasion.
