Stan Alieke the lawyer currently representing Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has advised Nigerians to avoid trouble at all costs.
The lawyer is currently defending Speed Darlington after he was arrested for insinuating that singer, Burna Boy had a thing with American rapper, Diddy, and that’s what made him famous in the international community.
The lawyer recently made a post on his Instagram story warning Nigerians of the dangers of carelessly making false statements online.
He cautioned against making defamatory statements against anyone believing that no matter what is said their lawyers would be able to get them out of trouble.
He explained that there is only so much a lawyer can do in most cases and when all is said and done, the lawyer would only “do their best and leave you alone.”
He emphasized that it is never worth the trouble and it is usually better to stay out of situations that could get you arrested and charged.
In his words;
“As your lawyer, I will advise you to try as much as you can to avoid troubles, it isn’t worth it; all these “I will call my lawyer” bragging is nothing. Lawyers can only do their best & leave you alone.
All these “gra gra” that some of you are doing is because you haven’t jammed with someone who has your time & is ready to deal with you.
Some trouble will humble you for life. I have seen people lose everything fighting a court case“
