Tragic news has emerged that Herbert Wigwe, the Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, and his wife Chizoba, lost their lives in a helicopter crash in California on Friday night, February 9.
The crash occurred near Boulder City, situated between Nevada and California, while the chopper was heading to Las Vegas.
According to reports from the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, the helicopter departed from Palm Springs Airport around 8:45 pm and crashed around 10 pm during its journey to Las Vegas.
Herbert Wigwe, his wife, and their son were reportedly onboard the helicopter, along with Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the Group Chairman of the Nigerian Export Group.
Herbert Wigwe, aged 57, was a prominent figure in the banking industry.

“As soon as a penalty kick was awarded against Nigeria during the AFCON match with South Africa on Wednesday’s semi-final clash in Bouake, Ivory Coast, he slumped.”
