US-based Nollywood actor, Alesh Ola Sanni has taken to social media to bemoan the high cost of housing in Nigeria.
The actor in a video he shared on his Instagram page complained about the high cost of rent in all parts of the country, particularly in Lagos.
According to him, houses on the Island in Lagos state now go for as high as three, four or five million Naira while the low-cost houses popularly known as “Face me I slap you” that used to be as low as N2,000 monthly now go for N10,000.
Alesh who noted that a lot of people are presently homeless because of the high cost of housing, questioned how homeowners expect people to be able to afford the outrageous rent.

Meanwhile, the actor recently lamented about the poor state of the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC.
The actor shared a video which showed people who went to the embassy for an appointment, fanning themselves with books and papers as their was no Air Conditioner.
Lamenting over the poor state of the embassy, Alesh wrote,
“Anything that has to do with that name Nigeria is embarrassing… Imagine the Nigeria Embassy here in Washington DC, no AC, just a fan for over 30 people, abeg why una dey always disgrace us like this. This is arrant nonsense werey ni gbogbo yin”.
