Popular Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri, has lambasted Ekiti chef, Damilola Adeparusi, over her mission to surpass Hilda Baci’s 100-hour cook-a-thon feat.
The young chef from Ekiti state has embarked on a 120-hour cooking marathon in an attempt to beat Hilda’s record for the longest individual cooking time. However, Hilda’s feat has not yet been confirmed by the Guinness World Records.
As of the time of filing this report, Dami, who began the cooking challenge in the early hours of Friday, May 9, has already cooked for 31 hours and counting in Oye, Ekiti state.
The attempt has, however, been met with mixed reactions, with the majority criticizing her for trying to break a record that hasn’t been confirmed.
Actress Kadiri has also joined netizens in criticizing the chef, stating that she should have at least allowed Hilda to enjoy her win for a while before attempting to break it.
In a now-deleted post, Ruth wrote,
“They won’t think for themselves, but the moment you do it, everyone starts realizing they can do it too. They can’t even wait for her euphoria to settle.”
