Nollywood actress, Mary Remmy-Njoku has advised women to be more tolerant of each other to enable growth.
Taking to her Instagram page, Mary Remmy opined that African women were too petty and unforgiving to each other.
According to her, women picked offense over hearsays and little misunderstandings and choose to fight and stop talking over said events.
Mary Remmy advised women tolerate each other the way they constantly tolerated men and it was the only way to grow together.
She wrote;
“African women are so
PETTY to each other.
Small misunderstanding, 5yrs of Malice
“I heard you said I am yellow” Are you Green?
“I texted vou but you ignored ” There is a chance I missed it.
“you think you are better than me”
Sister! how do you know what I am thinking? You dey inside my head?
‘She said, you said, I heard what you said’ has distroyed Sisterhoods.
dem say, dem say’
If she didn’t/can’t say it to your face, rest.
Let’s learn to tolerate each other the way we tolerate our men. That’s the ONLY way we can grow together.” she added.
Reacting to her message, a follower commented; “Most women dislike each other. Men do great with friendships.. most women will backbite, gossip, betray, plan evil towards each other. Friendship is based on what they can get from you.! Most calling you sister na for mouth… Wait until they manifest hatred they always had in their hearts. It’s so sad. Men will come together to create something meaningful in life, women come together to destroy, compare, compete and condemn each other. 😢 Men will see partnerships in each other in businesses, women see enmity & entitlement with each other. May God help my gender. Amen.”
