Nigerian-American singer, Jidenna Theodore Mobisson, better known as Jidenna, has reflected on his past behavior of manipulating and mistreating women.
The ‘Bambi’ crooner shared his thoughts in a video posted on social media while speaking on how he has reached a point of reconsidering his concept of “masculinity.”
He acknowledged that he had taken away some women’s prime years for starting a family and manipulated them into believing that they would never find someone better than him, using comments like “No one will ever love you like I do.”
As he soberly reflected on this, the 38-year-old singer admitted to leading these women on while they contributed to his growth.
“Look at me now. And look at them,” he said.
Speaking on how he dragged them along, he said, “If you were a creative, I folded you into my art work. If you were in my art work, I gave you a job. I gave you a job, I mastered your life. I gave you a house, food, everything you need. I protected and provided for you. I did what men are supposed to do.”
In conclusion, Jidenna said he is ashamed of the things he did to women.
