As the season of electoral activities draw close, aspirants have seized social media as a tool to reach out and connect with their followers and voters.
Yesterday, the senior special assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said president Buhari is fit to run for a second term after the president trekked from the Eid prayer ground to his home after the Sallah prayer (read here).
Presidential hopeful, Atiku Abubakar took to his twitter handle to react to Shehu’s statement. According to him, it would be pedestrian for him to ask Nigerians to vote for im because he is fit.
I regularly jog more than a mile & exercise, but it will be pedestrian of me to ask Nigerians to vote for me because of that. I want my party – the PDP, and Nigerians, to vote for me because I WORK not because I WALK. I will work to create jobs. I won’t walk to create an illusion
