Social media commentator, Daniel Regha is of the opinion that popular female Nigerian singers, Tems and Ayra Starr, are still up-and-coming artistes.
Daniel, who is notorious for his controversial takes on celebrity issues, shared this opinion in a recent podcast session hosted by reality TV star, Doyin.
According to him, a musician can either be considered as an ‘upcoming artist’ or a ‘GOAT – Greatest Of All Time”, and both singers have not yet reached the status of being the GOAT.
He said even though Tems has received international recognition and awards, she has not released songs that would have the same relevance even after a decade, like those of Tiwa Savage, Omawumi, and Waje.
On Ayra Star’s music career, Daniel stated that she recycles the same sound and is mostly known for wearing miniskirts and revealing clothes. He added that her latest song ‘Sability’ is the most useless song he has ever heard.
Speaking further, Daniel advised Tems and Ayra Starr to create music with diverse themes that can appeal to a wider range of audience and events, rather than sticking to the same kind of songs.
