Blood is indeed thicker than water. HKN singer, B-Red, who recently released his Extended Play record, defends himself on trolls that he sounds like his cousin Davido.
“I can’t kill myself even though I sound like Davido,” B-Red says while on The Drop spot Show with King Yhemiee and Ife on Metro 97.7FM, where he talked about his EP.
The HKN singer was quick to correct Ife when she referred to him as Davido’s brother saying, “Cousin”. Also, revealing his plans on how to tweak his style of music, which most people have said is very similar in sound to that of Davido.
“I don’t think I sound like him but other people do… I can’t kill myself even though I sound like him,” he said. “I’m doing good. I just got back from Egypt and before Egypt I went to… Malaysia, so I am doing good.”
There has been some uncleared comments flying on the internet, which suggests that Davido and B-Red might be having a beef, however, the singer tried his best to address the issue. B-Red said he is not jealous of Mayorkun’s success, they are brothers and have been helping each other.
Meanwhile, the newly released EP, “All The Way Up,” has been ranked ‘fair’ as it contained endless repetitions, and lacks creativity, according to music analysts.
B-Red was signed to HKN in 2014 and has been in the shadows of Davido, since they are related.
It seems like he was signed to be a backup artiste for his superstar cousin, and does not get as much hype and spotlight like Davido, although he looks cuter and has better-toned muscles.
