Nigerian rapper and singer Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck has apologized to a fan, few days after tagging her as an ashewo (prostitute).
He apologized for calling the lady names while speaking in a space with @the49thstreet on the microblogging platform X.
It was reported that Odumodublvck had responded to a fan who condemned his lyrics in ‘cast’ and in the process slut shamed her.
The interviewer had questioned Odumodublvck about how he felt when people called for him to be cancelled online.
Odumodublvck responded by saying things happen for a reason, adding that the cancel culture thing had been going on even before he joined twitter and he does not believe in it because everybody’s destiny is in God’s hand.
He also said that he should not have called the lady a prostitute, adding that even if she was, it was not in his place to address her as one.
Odumodublvck concluded by saying two wrongs does not make a right and he only reacted that way because he was triggered.
He said;
“Yesterday something happened and the whole Nigeria was talking about it and to be fair, calling that babe an ashewo, I should not have done it, it does not matter if the babe na ashewo two wrongs don’t make a right but that is life I was triggered and I overreacted e dey happen, people make mistake but it does not define the person.”
