Popular Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye has given Nigerians a sober reminder of the prevailing hardship in the country.
The reality show, Big Brother Naija season 5 ended yesterday, Sept 27, in which Laycon emerged as the N85 million grand prize winner. The show gave Nigerians a form of relief and distraction from the state of things in the nation.
However, the star artiste took it upon himself to welcome viewers of the show back to reality, reminding them of the responsibilities and accruing bills. He also told them to remember that PMB is still the president.
During the course of the show, the Federal government deregulated the oil sector, which inherently led to an increase in fuel pump price. Electricity tariff was also increased which led to a decision by the NLC to embark on a nationwide strike which has now been suspended.
Peter Okoye took to his Twitter account to welcome Nigerians back to the real world.
His Tweet reads,
“Now that BBN is over, hope y’all remember that Buhari is still our president.
“Now that bbn is over!
Things you must Remember:
*House rent
*School fees
*Utility bills
*Fuel price increment
*Power tariff increment
*in fact just welcome back to realty!”
Now that BBN is over, hope y’all remember that Buhari is still our president.??♂️
