Big Brother Naija star, Maria Chike, has tendered a public apology to revered clergyman, Apostle Joshua Selman, after she mistook him for the “apostle” she was accused of having an affair with.
The reality TV star had taken to the comment section of a tweet allegedly shared by the clergyman to ask if he was the one she was alleged to have slept with.
This follows the controversy that ensued in July 2022 when a purported list of female celebrities that controversial clergyman, Apostle Johnson Suleman, had allegedly slept with was released on social media.
The alleged list contained the names of many Nollywood actresses and reality TV stars, including Maria, although she never came out to address the rumour until now.
In an apparent reaction to the old drama, Maria, reacting to a tweet shared by a parody account of Apostle Selman, politely asked if he was the one they claimed she was romantically involved with.
However, realizing that she mistook Apostle Selman for someone else, she deleted her previous tweet and apologized to the clergyman.
“I stand corrected. My apologies to Apostle for getting names mixed up/wrong. Find it in your good heart to forgive my innocent tweet. Remain blessed”. She wrote.
