Nigerian comedienne and actress, Helen Paul, has recounted how her former boss tried to discourage her husband from dating her years ago.
Helen, who is married to her husband, Femi Bamisile, with 3 sons and a daughter, made this disclosure during a recent interview on the ‘Honest Bunch’ podcast.
According to her, her boss spoke about her in a condescending manner to her husband, who was her then lover, and insinuated that she wasn’t good enough for him because he was a lawyer.
Her words, “My boss called my husband to say ‘Femi, is it that kind of Helen you want to date? You’re more than this.’
“And he said, ‘No, if you want to just enjoy yourself with her, it’s OK o.'”
She continued: “I took Femi to my own office then in TVC. My HR looked at Femi and said, ‘Look at how clean you are, a lawyer, why the choice of Helen?'”

In other news, popular Nigerian singer, Terry Alexandar Ejeh better known as Terry Apala, has recounted how he and his siblings were left alone with their mother by their father.
The “Palongo” crooner said that his father did not participate in his upbringing and that he did not return to the family for another 17 years.
According to Apala, who made this revelation in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, his father passed away at their home on the same day that he paid them a visit. Read here
