The story of this lad proves that the power of social media can/should never be really underestimated. Help has gracefully come the through the path of the Kenyan boy, who has now been identified as John Thuo, who broke down in tears after discovering that the woman (Gladys Kamande) – whom he was trying to beg in public carries oxygen tank around to survive.
According to Ndungu Nyoro, the boy is a product of a broken home and resorted to street life in order to survive. At the request of Gladys whom he has reportedly taken as his mom, Thuku has been moved from the streets of Thika and is now under the care of a children’s home.
He said he’s willing to go back to school as long as it’s not anywhere far from Gladys.
