It has been confirmed that Headies which was formerly scheduled to to hold on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 has now been moved by two days.
In a news release issued this morning, and broadcast on Hip TV, the organizers Smooth Promotions announce that the highly anticipated show will now hold on New Year’s Day Friday, January 1, 2016.
The statement does not give reasons for the push, but suggests the postponement adds another opportunity for the organizers to deliver an event many expect to be truly remarkable.
The event will now coincide with the equally hugely anticipated January 1st concert by Ali Baba. Nigerian Music Video Awards which was to hold on December 17, 2015, was also postponed indefinitely.
The Headies 2015 is hosted by Kaffy and Bovi, with performances from 2Face, Vector, Falz, Iyanya, Seyi Shay, Adekunle Gold, Olamide, Simi, Victoria Kimani, Eva Alordiah and more. The event will hold at Landmark Event Centre in Oniru, Lagos.
