A British man has taken to Twitter to share his encounter with a Nigerian man who hacks people’s Instagram account.
The Nigerian man who poses as an investor, had been sending DMs to people on Instagram using a catfish account, informing them about a fake giveaway his company is running and when they fall for his bait, he takes control of their accounts.
The British man, identified as @kierannwood on Twitter, had noticed the pattern and became interested in knowing the person behind it.
When he received a message from the said “investor”, he sparked a conversation with him and offered to give him a better idea for scamming people instead of his cheesy and obvious line.
@kierannwood then tricked him into getting into a video call with him to discuss the “scam idea”, and screenshotted pictures of the scammer’s face.
He took to Twitter to share the screenshots and wrote,
“Every day someone’s insta account is getting hacked and I just wanted to see the man behind all the carnage, meet my new buddy from Nigeria 🤣🤣”

This has stirred mixed reactions on social media as Nigerians on the micro-blogging platform express disappointment in the young scammer for bringing embarrassment to the country.
