A lady has revealed the unbelievable thing she and other citizens were told to do at an INEC office in Awka, Anambra, while trying to get their permanent voters card (PVC).
Taking to Twitter, @KeksKatie said she arrived at the INEC office in Amawobia around 8am on Tuesday, May 31, and was told to wait for one hour because the officials resume by 9am.
When they eventually resumed, the waiting voters were given brooms to sweep the office and were told that whoever sweeps will be attended to first.

“So I went to INEC office in amawobia this morning since 8:00 and according to them they don’t start till 9:00 that’s not even the issue
This people brought out the brooms and told us to sweep the office that whoever sweeps will get theirs done first 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
Lol they are even shouting that if you don’t you should go that they must do the people that swept first. On top PVC
They are even telling us to go 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ is this how someone will get their pvc @inecnigeria
I don’t understand what’s going on.”
Hours later, she gave an update that she has finally completed her registration even though she had to go out of her comfort zone.
“I finally got to do my biometrics Today was the first time ever I shouted at a group of people.
I shouted till tears dropped from my eyes like I’m the calm type so Everyone was shocked including my sister I’m surprised and proud of myself at the same time”
Her post has spurred other people to speak up about their frustrating experiences and the mundane tasks they were charged with before being allowed to register for their PVC.
