Popular Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has dedicated his BET Hip-Hop Awards performance to all who lost their lives to SARS brutality.
The 15th BET Hip-Hop Awards held on Tuesday night, October 27th, after nominations were announced on September 29, 2020.
The highlight of the night was when Burna Boy and Coldplay Chris Martin used their powerful performance of “Monsters You Made” to pay tribute to victims of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
Burna’s ‘Monsters You Made’ with Chris Martin dropped off his latest album, Twice As Tall.
The song talks about how corruption and bad governance has planted seeds of iniquity in citizens, which then grow to become acts of fundamental negativity.
The self acclaimed African giant, dedicated the performance to, “All innocent Nigerians killed by SARS.”
The singer also used the opportunity to call for an end to police brutality and profiling in Nigeria.
