A Nigerian businesswoman has devised a contrasting means to pay her tithe as she feeds the needy and widows in her church, rather than paying tithe to the church.
The woman mentioned that she utilized her tithe to cook and distribute food to the needy and less privileged in her church environs, regardless of the awareness that tithe is the first fruit that should be paid to the church.
In her words,
“This is what I use my tithe for, I use my tithe to cook food and share to the needy and less privileged”
Revealing in the video, a car booth can be seen filled with a large number of packaged meals with church members taking their share from the woman’s tithe.
However, the woman’s idea of paying tithe has led to dissension among viewers, who were against her gesture of feeding the needy instead of giving the funds for church development.
Some netizens suggest her deed shouldn’t be regarded as tithe but a portion of her income donated to charity while others compare different biblical scriptures associated with church sermons and tithe.
